The actor revealed that he’s been keeping in touch with one of his exes, Jennifer Lopez and gushed over her in a new interview. As some fans may remember, Ben Affleck and J.Lo. broke off their engagement no less than 16 years ago!
While promoting his new movie titled The Way Back, Affleck has been getting pretty personal, revealing all kinds of details about his life and personal feelings.
That being said, after addressing the rumors that he’s on dating apps and admitting he thinks divorcing Jennifer Garner is his life’s biggest mistake, Ben also revealed he and another ex, Jennifer Lopez still keep in touch.
The two dated for two years and were meant to tie the knot in January of 2004 but ‘Bennifer’ ended all of a sudden, the two never tying the knot.
Well, that hasn’t stopped them from remaining pretty close throughout the years, as it turns out.
Brooks Barnes, a New York Times reporter, released further parts of his profile that did not make it into the final story and one was him praising his ex.
Ben told the news outlet that she ‘should have been nominated’ at the Oscars for her role in Hustlers.
He went on to rave about his ex, saying that ‘She’s the real thing,’ before sharing that ‘I keep in touch with her and I have a lot of respect for her. How amazing is it that she had her biggest movie at 50? That’s f***ing baller.’
Ben and Jen had a very high profile romance when they were dating and were pretty much the ‘It couple’ in the early 2000s.
He is even featured in her Jenny from the Block music video which showed the pair doing some hot PDA aboard a yacht and that is still one of the most iconic moments in the industry.
