Stephanie Shepherd has long been associated with Kim Kardashian and the rest of the Kar-Jenner family members. Along with Simon Huck, and Jen Atkin, Steph was often seen hanging out with the stars. However, her time working for Kim came to an end in 2017. Steph spoke out on a podcast this year to explain how their working relationship ended.

Wherever the Kardashians go, their assistants are never far behind. This year, fans will see Kim Kardashian‘s hairstylist, Chris Appleton, feature on the family’s Hulu show. However, throwing it back to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians days, the ladies were surrounded by a different crowd.

Stephanie Shepherd was Kim Kardashian’s assistant

Kim’s former assistant, Stephanie Shepherd, 34, initially moved to LA from Ohio to pursue a career in dance.

She had hopes and dreams of becoming a member of the Pussycat Dolls but later opted for a job as the Hulu star’s assistant and later, Chief Operating Officer.

Stephanie worked for Kim from 2013 to 2017 and has been seen on the Kar-Jenner family’s reality TV shows such as KUWTK in the past.

Steph was ‘fired’

Despite being great friends, Steph explained on The Skinny Confidential podcast this October that Kim essentially “fired” her.

Speaking on the episode, Stephanie said: “I got fired. Fired in the nicest sense of the word. Like I was crying, she was crying… because we are friends, and that friendship is really important to both of us.”

Before working for the mom of four, she explained that she slept on a friend’s couch for three months. Steph said she arrived in LA at the age of 19: “You need to have that experience because, at the end of the day, it makes you better at your job.”

After landing the role of Kim’s COO, she said she got to a point of feeling that she didn’t have ” anything more to contribute.”

Steph added that her firing by Kim in 2017 was like a “beautiful uncoupling.”

She left on a ‘hope and a prayer’

After leaving her role working for the SKIMS founder, Stephanie explained that she didn’t have a clear-cut plan for what her working future would hold.

Nowadays, she’s a social media influencer with 1.9 million followers.

She is an environmental activist and is the founder of the Future Earth Foundation.

Steph writes in her Instagram bio that she’s also an ambassador for Slip Silk Pillowcases.
